Where is your inspiration coming from?
From nature, from the human being abuses on ecosystems and all species.

What are you trying to communicate in particular with your artwork?
That life is fragile, that all species of the world used to live in balance until the human being broke it; and that death and extinction are our responsibility.

Which material do you prefer to use and why?
Materials found in nature because they are unrepeatable treasures, porcelain for its ductility and delicacy and metal for its power and strength.

How much value do you give to researching material for your creations?
The investigation is the base of all creation; it gives sustenance and power to the pieces.

Is it more important for you the process, or the final artwork itself?
Both are important, but for me the process is something that is tied to your life, when the piece is finished, part of it dies.

Is there an artist you prefer and why?
There are many artists and designers that I deeply admire; illustrators like Charlotte Ager (UK) and Jorge González (Argentina), costume designers like Ires Van Herpen (The Netherlands) or jewelers like Georg Dobler (Germany). I admire musicians and dancers a lot.

Have you ever thought to collaborate with other artists, or do you like to work on your own?
I think the collaborative work is very good. It activates ourselves and enhances the work.

Where do you feel you are at with this last collection?
I feel like I'm trying to scream once more, there's no time!!!!! The species are disappearing! You are suffering! I do not think they'll listen to me enough.

What have you discovered of yourself, are you satisfied?
I discovered that I care a lot about the others’ suffering. I will never be satisfied because the human being will never change his selfish essence.

Two words to describe your last artwork collection.
Pain and beauty.
