Where is your inspiration coming from ?
I have as inspiration the perception I have of the facts and my position in relation to what bothers me in some way: the planet, the human being, their relationships, their degradation and what we can do about it.
What are you trying to communicate in particular with your artwork?
I’m interested in developing a job that has a posture of positioning in relation to the word I live.
Which material you prefer to use and why ?
All kinds of material interests me, the traditional ones used in jewelry and other more common because it may have some value or meaning that not only the monetary.
How much value do you give to researching material for your creations?
I give a huge value because for me each material has unique characteristics and we can say something through our choices. I’m very interested and even curious to know new materials that I can use in my work; new possibilities, new challenges.
Is it more important for you the process, or the final artwork itself?
The process for me is a very important part of creation but the final work is the purpose of the whole process.
Is there an artist you prefer and why ?
There are a lot of artists that I really admire; Otto Künzli and Ted Noten because of the messages and concepts back their creations and the innovative way of think jewellery, Karl Fritsch because I think incredible what he can do. A ring was never more a ring after him, at least for me.
Have you ever thought to collaborate with other artists , or you like to work on your own?
Yes, I already thought and I would like a lot but I have not had the opportunity. I like to work alone but I also believe that the exchange is always enriching.
Where do you feel you are at with this last collection?
I feel that I’m in the beginning of my journey.
What have you discovered of yourself, are you satisfied ?
Yes and no! I fell that I have so much more to learn and study and practice, but at the same time I’m satisfied because I found myself in my work and the way of think and make it.
Two words to describe your last artwork collection.
Positioning and human being.
